The tetrahedron is one of the five platonic solids.
Configurations such as the above can be found in micro and macro realms and are as such universal in nature. Design models have for some time now availed of similar graphics to determine commonalities and to differentiate between methodologies. I am currently working on a social integration theory which takes the tetrahedron as its basis. The two dimensional triangle to the three dimensional pyramid, the space created by these formations becomes a metaphor for complex modes of action and interaction. Each point of intersect is a tenable social construct which may hinder or further the overall project.
